Turkey Pardon

Happy Turkey Day! Everyone who knows me and who has been reading this knows I'm not a big fan of tradition... or holiday's in general for that matter. But one tradition I actually like is the pardon given to a turkey by the President of the United States. Just think of all the things we can now do with that turkey! We could use it for food....no, no that just defeats the purpose....maybe we could dress it up in a funny little outfit and make it run around, entertaining children of all ages.....no, no that would humiliate the turkey....perhaps we could give it to an enemy as a peace offering....ya, ya that's my fav idea yet! But seriously, I would like to know what happens to the turkey. Last check there weren't too many pet turkey caretakers. Oh fuck it, just let Cheney shoot the thing.

Cucumber Spit

On my flight to Las Vegas (ya, that's why a couple of weeks with no post) I sat next to a "Cucumber Spitting Kiwi Lady." Let's see how best to describe her further......well......she ate a cucumber while she was talking with me......and as she ate, two small crumblike pieces of cucumber shot out of both sides of her mouth simultaneously. I didn't know if I was more curious of her eating a cucumber on a plane, or how the two pieces always fired at the same time! It's like her mouth was a Star Trek Space Ship armed with a duo green proton cannon. At least that's what came to mind. And she was born in New Zealand...hence the "kiwi lady" part. Our conversation was about how she found the holy spirit....which I would rate a 2 out of 10 on the interesting meter.....spitting two pieces of cucumber out while speaking....9 out of 10!

Site Update

It seems like everytime I am close to doing a full scale launch of this site, there is something that turns into many things, which take up a lot of my time. But that is not necessarily a bad thing, just a little thing I've learned over the last month or two. To keep you up to date, I have been working on the shopping cart for the site, and reworking the entire "button" pages. Which includes new categories of buttons, new navigation (which is unique...and I hope not too confusing....you always have your browser's back button if you get stuck) and new pictures. Between riding my bike, never saying "no" to a friends request, and other minute issues, I have been spending some time on this....let's hope for a full launch in January '07.
